Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Eastvale
There are those of us who have natural talents. For example, dancers who just seem to have been born knowing how to find the beat and move with grace. You see these individuals on the dance floor and you think that in order to dance, you have to have been born a dancer.
But while some dancers are born, others are made. If you have ever wished you could feel confident on the dance floor, stop wishing and start making it happen. Here at Arthur Murray Riverside Dance Studio, we have the classes you need to turn yourself from a wallflower into a confident dancer. All you need to do to get started is give us a call.
The Arthur Murray Approach
In Eastvale and the surrounding areas, there are plenty of dance studios. So why should you choose us over the others?
Arthur Murray is very particular about its instructors, only hiring the best, and then making them complete in-depth training before leading a single class. We maintain a beautiful, open studio that is fully equipped. And our location is ideal. But none of this is what sets us apart and makes us the best choice for you; what does is the Arthur Murray approach.
What defines this approach? Rather than simply teaching dance, we work to develop dancers. This doesn’t mean that we try to turn every student into a competitive dancer. Instead, it means that we make sure you move beyond memorization. Simply learning steps to music tends to result in robotic dancing and the inability to adapt to different music and environments. We ensure that dance becomes another part of you, something as natural as walking, and that you can feel confident with any music in any environment.
We do this through tailored instruction. Every class we offer can be taken at four different levels: beginner, bronze, silver, and gold. As such, the class that challenges you without overwhelming you is easy to find. You will be able to improve without feeling frustrated, eventually becoming a natural dancer.
The Dance Styles We Teach
Arthur Murray Dance Studio teaches partner dances, focusing on a few specific styles. We don’t try to do it all, but what we do, we do very well. Below are the styles of dance we currently teach our Corona dance students.
When you hear the term “partner dance,” chances are Ballroom Dances are what comes to mind. We grow up seeing them in cartoons, movies, and television, enchanted by the elegant moves and the regal clothing. And if you want to capture this sophistication for yourself, you can. Among the dances we teach are the Tango, Foxtrot, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, and the Quickstep.
Two decades ago, most people had no idea what Latin Dance was. Now, with televised competitions, it has become one of the most popular dance styles to watch, learn, and perform. If you want to challenge yourself with a dance style that is both sensual and athletic, Latin Dance is for you. Included amongst the Latin Dances we teach are the Bolero, Rumba, Mambo, Cha-cha, Samba, Paso Doble, Merengue, and Salsa.
Country and Western Dance
This is a wonderful style of dance to learn. Focused on elegant partner dances that use smooth gliding and scooting, you can make it as casual or as sophisticated as you like. Embrace the kitsch with Western wear, put on your finest formal wear, or just stick to a t-shirt and jeans. In every environment, with whatever outfit you choose, these dances always work. With Arthur Murray, you can learn the Country Western Waltz, Texas Two-Step, Country Shuffle, Country Swing, West Coast Swing, the Progressive Two-Step, and the Country Triple.
As you can imagine, we love all forms of dance, no matter what style they happen to belong to. And sometimes we fall in love with a dance that doesn’t quite fit into a single category. When we come across these dances, we term them specialty dance. Among the Specialty Dances we teach are the Nightclub Two-Step, Bachata, the Argentine Tango, and the Zouk.
Swing and Rhythm Dance
Arthur Murray was a swing king, and we are honored to continue his legacy by teaching his favorite style of dance. Swing Dance is fun and social, with an entire community of dancers behind it. In many ways, it is as much a culture as it is a dance, making it great for those learning to dance so they can socialize more. If you want to learn how to swing, let us turn you into a Swing and Rhythm expert with dances such as the East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Jitterbug, Hustle, and the Jive.
Reasons to Take Dance Lessons
We welcome everyone who wants to learn how to dance, no matter their reason—or even if they have no reason at all. However, most students come to us to meet a certain goal or to prepare for a specific event. Below are some of the more common reasons our Eastvale dance students turn to us for dance lessons.
Have you ever wondered why people started to dance in the first place? Way back when, it wasn’t a performance or art. Instead, it was a way to connect with others, to socialize. And while both we and dance have evolved, we still use dance to socialize. Our classes are a great way to connect with friends and meet new people, and our dance socials will help you become part of the larger dance community.
Ever since people started recording weddings and receptions, people have been hesitant to hop on the dance floor. And now that embarrassing moments can go viral, people are even more cautious. Our classes will give you the skills and confidence you need to enjoy the next wedding you attend, whether as a guest, part of the bridal party, or as the couple.
Special Events Dance
While weddings are the big event we think of, plenty of other special events use dance as a central way to have fun. From cruises to galas to work parties and more, we can help you learn simple moves that will make you feel great. Leave your wallflower days behind.
Whether you are looking to start competing or you have been a competitive dancer for years, we can help you find ways to grow as a dancer. Our competitive classes are solo classes, ensuring you get precise feedback. Learn and grow with us; we will cheer you on the whole way.
